| Cacti Subdue Bowling Green, 1-0 | In a close game at Albuquerque Sports Stadium, the Albuquerque Cacti edged the Bowling Green Racers, 1-0. Albuquerque center fielder John Makeever earned the nod as player of the game. He was 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk. Albuquerque reliever Mario Deleón picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. Chad McCarty took the loss. The Racers drop to 8-9 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2038 season.
The Cacti got a big at-bat from left fielder Fu-chi Ming. For the game, Ming was 2-4 with a triple. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 27th hit of the season gave Albuquerque a 1-0 lead.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Ming said after the game.
