| Tight Tilt Goes to Bumblebees, 2-1 | The Pasadena Bumblebees topped the Peoria Caterpillars, 2-1, in Darryl Kile League action at The Hole. The player of the game was Pasadena pitcher Miguel García. García got the win, improving to 1-1. He allowed 5 hits and walked 4 over 6 innings. García allowed 1 earned run. Zachary Royster picked up the save, his 5th.
Jerry LeGore aided the Pasadena cause with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the first baseman went 1 for 3 with a double.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," García told the Pasadena Herald.
The Caterpillars fall to 6-9 and continue to sputter in the early going.
