Hops Squelch Black Knights Offense in Shutout Win

San Diego Hops starter Gohta Yamashiro was in fine form against the Brooklyn Black Knights at Blue Ivy Stadium, leading his team to a 4-0 win. Yamashiro got the win, improving to 2-0. He allowed 5 hits and walked 2 over 6 innings. Yamashiro allowed no earned runs. The Black Knights drop to 9-9 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2038 season.

Zach Hopkins aided the San Diego cause with a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth. For the game, the first baseman was 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
