Prest Excels, But Racers Win

Silver Lake third baseman Vernon Prest had a good game, even if his team did not. The Baristas dropped a 14-13 decision to Bowling Green at Top of the Hill. Prest was 3-5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. Gerardo Garza picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Colby Virella was tagged with the loss. Getting the save was Atsuya Suda, his 1st.

Freddy Ramos, who is tied for 5th in the NAL in runs scored with 12, chipped in for Bowling Green with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the third. For the game, the right fielder had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 2 runs batted in.
