| Bombers Edge Past Grays, 6-5 | The South Carolina Bombers defeated the Georgia Grays, 6-5, at The Death Star. South Carolina first baseman Adam Hounsell was named player of the game for his superb performance. He was 2-4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. The win brings the Bombers to 7-9, a soft start for a team that made the playoffs just last season.
The Bombers got a big at-bat from second baseman Dennis Perry. For the game, Perry went 1 for 1. In the top of the 11th, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 1st hit of the season gave South Carolina a 6-5 lead.
"Our team showed some resilience," said Hounsell.
