| Victory Pushes Baristas Record to 8-5 | The Silver Lake Baristas got a strong performance from pitcher Edgar Alvarez, who stymied the Bowling Green offense en route to a 7-2 win at Top of the Hill. Silver Lake, now 8-5, has played well in the early going.
The Baristas got a big at-bat from catcher Oscar Mayes. For the game, Mayes was 1-4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the second, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 1st double of the season gave Silver Lake a 2-1 lead.
