Bumblebees Pull Off Thrilling Win in Extras

Pasadena beat Minneapolis at The Ice Box, eking out a 5-4 win. The win was due in large part to left fielder Bartley Alroy, who earned player of the game honors. Jerry Kennedy got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed no runs on no hits in 0.1 innings. Picking up the save was Zachary Royster, his 3rd.

Alroy had a game-changing single in the top of the tenth. On a first pitch fastball from Jesus Espinoza, he banged a run-scoring single to center, giving the Bumblebees a 5-4 lead. It was the 4th hit of the year for Alroy.

"I like our moxie," said Bumblebees manager Wilfred Brooks.

The Bumblebees keep rolling, raising their record to 10-3.
