| Victory Over Rockets Takes Fairfield to 8-5 | The Fairfield Flash got a stellar performance from pitcher Esteban Montes, who handcuffed the Reno offense en route to a 2-1 win at Durham Bulls Athletic Park. Montes picked up the win for Fairfield, going 6 innings. He gave up 1 run on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 1-1. The Rockets fall to 6-7 and continue their uneasy start to the 2038 season.
Vicente Ortega aided the Fairfield cause with a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the second. For the game, the second baseman drove in one run.
