Victory Over Kodiaks Takes Antioch to 7-4

The Calgary Kodiaks and Antioch Coal Miners provided some drama at Foothills Stadium.

The Antioch Coal Miners topped the Calgary Kodiaks, 6-5, with first baseman Tony Martinez playing a big role. Martinez was 2-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Coal Miners in the win. Chris Costello picked up the win with 6 innings of work. He allowed 4 earned runs on 11 hits, while walking 0 and striking out 2. On the season, he is now 2-0. The save was credited to Donald Barron, his 4th.

Edgar García aided the Antioch cause with a bases-clearing double in the top of the sixth. For the game, the catcher was 1-4 with a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
