| Fireballs Hope Win Turns Around Slow Start | Joplin starter Dan Fram pitched effectively against the Pasadena Bumblebees at The Firepit. The right-hander led his team to a 4-1 win. Joplin is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 4th in 11 games.
The Fireballs got a big at-bat from left fielder Bill Hopgood. For the game, Hopgood was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Joplin a 3-1 lead.
"It's a mindset," said Fram. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
