Ming Helps Albuquerque Cruise to 10-2 Win

The Albuquerque Cacti beat the Vancouver Canadians, 10-2, at Albuquerque Sports Stadium. The win was largely due to the efforts of left fielder Fu-chi Ming, who captured player of the game honors. He went 3 for 3 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3. Albuquerque reliever Mario Deleón picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Rogelio Pino absorbed the loss. Albuquerque, now 3-5, is off to a slow start.

Ming had a big at-bat with runners on 2nd and 3rd in the bottom of the fourth inning, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Cacti went on to win.

"It was a solid team effort," said Ming after the game.
