The Joplin Fireballs defeated the Reno Raiders, 5-3, in Darryl Kile League action at The Firepit, with Joplin pitcher Jacob Willard named player of the game. In 7 innings, Willard surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 2. He allowed 3 runs.
Art Barker aided the Joplin cause with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the designated hitter was 1 for 3 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
