| Death Stars Fall Short at Pasadena | Getting a good performance from first baseman Jerry LeGore, the Pasadena Bumblebees defeated the Detroit Death Stars, 4-3. LeGore was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Bumblebees. Pasadena, now 5-2, has gotten their season off to a good start.
LeGore had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 1-1 fastball from Jeff Spracklin, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Bumblebees a 4-3 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for LeGore.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Detroit manager Edgardo Gonzáles said following the tough loss.
