| Caterpillars Score Late, Upend Coal Miners, 5-4 | The Caterpillars had to overcome a fine performance from Antioch pitcher Zack Hogan to grab a 5-4 win at The Coal Mine. Hogan allowed 1 earned run over 5 innings. Losses have been few and far between for the Coal Miners so far this season. Their record drops to 4-2.
The Caterpillars got a big at-bat from second baseman Chris Bramel. For the game, Bramel was 1 for 4 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the ninth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 2nd double of the season gave Peoria a 5-4 lead.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Bramel.
