Disla, Redbirds Get 5-3 Win

Candiac played host to Minneapolis at the friendly confines of Municipal Stadium.

The Candiac Redbirds picked up a win at Municipal Stadium, knocking off the Minneapolis Freeze, 5-3. Starting pitcher Juan Disla, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Neil Vandermark got the save, the 1st for him this season.

Disla allowed no earned runs on 1 hit over 7 innings for the Redbirds. He walked 7 and struck out 7.

Disla told a Candiac Observer reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.

The win pushes Candiac to a record of 4-3.
