| Bombers Prevail, 2-1, Over Antioch | Bronx starter Fidel Betancourt put a stranglehold on the Antioch offense. The right-hander had complete command of his changeup in leading the Bombers to a 2-1 win. Betancourt got the win, improving to 5-3. He allowed 4 hits and walked 4 over 6.1 innings. Betancourt allowed 1 earned run. Jeremy Carr converted his 4th save in 4 tries.
Ignacio Ochoa aided the Bronx cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth. For the game, the first baseman went 2-4 with 2 singles.
"The more wins we pile up," said Betancourt, "the more I like our chances."
The Bombers bumped their record to 49-37 with this latest triumph.
