| Death Stars Get Road Win, 4-3 | The Minneapolis Freeze and Detroit Death Stars provided some drama at The Ice Box.
Hugo Torres pitched well, but the Minneapolis Freeze still lost the game, falling 4-3 to the Detroit Death Stars at The Ice Box. Jimmy Gregus got the save, the 1st for him this season.
The Death Stars got a big at-bat from first baseman Chris Whatley. For the game, Whatley was 1 for 3 with a double and a walk, while adding 3 RBI. In the top of the second, with the bases loaded, he stroked a bases-clearing double. His 3rd double of the season gave Detroit a 4-1 lead.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Whatley told the Detroit Daily News.
The Death Stars, now 4-1, have played some good baseball in the early going.
