| Rockets Solve Sphinx, 6-2 | The Reno Rockets got a stellar performance from pitcher Lynn Clark, who handcuffed the Cairo offense en route to a 6-2 win at Pharaoh's Temple. Clark went 7.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 2, and struck out 3. His record improves to 1-0. The Rockets, now 2-1, have been on a roll in the early going.
Howard Stevens aided the Reno cause with a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth. For the game, the catcher was 1-4 with a double.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Reno manager Wynn Decker.
