Canadians Shut Out Phantoms
The Canadians grabbed a win, 4-0, at Phantoms Field, overcoming a fine effort from Coronado pitcher Joe Starring. Starring went 7 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Franklin Cadonau picked up the save for Vancouver, his 1st of the year. The Canadians, now 3-1, have been on a roll in the early going.

Alvaro Colon aided the Vancouver cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth. For the game, the catcher was 2 for 4 with 2 singles.

"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Colon said after the game.
