| Phantoms Get Close Win Over Aeropostales | The Coronado Phantoms defeated the Indian Wells Aeropostales, 8-7. Earning player of the game honors was second baseman Narihira Murakami, who was 3-4 with 2 triples and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Coronado, now 2-1, has gotten their season off to a good start.
The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Coronado trailing 7-6, Tom Burns hit a cutter from Roger Day to center for a 2-run double. Just like that, the Phantoms had a walk-off win.
