| Kodiaks Get Close Win Over Mustangs | Calgary beat Billings at Foothills Stadium, eking out a 2-1 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher Domingo Trinidad, who earned player of the game honors. Calgary has a record of 1-1.
Calgary took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning. With one out, right fielder Jorge Sandoval hit a solo home run that set the crowd abuzz.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said Billings skipper Jorge Magana, "and it cost us."
