| Erik Ruby Wins MVP in Skip Bertman League Victory over Rod Dedeaux League | Despite his best efforts, game MVP Erik Ruby's Rod Dedeaux League All-Stars couldn't overcome the powerful Skip Bertman League squad in the annual All-Star Game.
"We tried our best, but did you see the talent in that lineup?" Ruby was quoted as saying after the game. "I'm honored to be named MVP of the game. To stand among the greatest stars of the game and be declared the best among them is truly an honor, even if we didn't end up winning the game. I had fun, and I think the fans did as well."
The Skip Bertman League All-Stars triumphed in the game by a final score of 9-6 in this year's game at Castles Ballpark. |
