| Hornets Get Win, Extend Streak to 4 | The Eureka Hornets picked up a win at The Nest, knocking off the Quebec Armada, 2-1. Starting pitcher Juan Mendoza, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Mendoza, the winner, moves to 12-12. He threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 1 walk. Ezra Bryan was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 20 of 22 save opportunities.
The Hornets got a big at-bat from shortstop Alberto Murillo. For the game, Murillo went 1-3 with a double. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 20th double of the season gave Eureka a 2-1 lead.
