| Islanders Bang Out 8-3 Win Versus Havana | The Hawaii Islanders picked up a win at Aloha Stadium, knocking off the Havana Stogies, 8-3. Starting pitcher Jason Keeping, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. The Islanders improved to 78-82.
Carter Kotas, who is a three-time Gold Glove Award winner, helped out the Hawaii cause in the bottom of the third inning with a 2-run single. For the game, the catcher went 2 for 4 with a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Keeping, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
