| Marauders Score Late to Upend Blazers, 5-4 | The Maple Marauders scored a 5-4 win versus the Bloomington Blazers at Legends Park. Maple pitcher Mitsunari Kobayashi nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. The winner was Maple reliever Hideaki Nakayama, now 4-4. The loser was Shichiro Iba. Maple now sits in 4th place in the Thurman Munson League Billy Martin Division at 77-83.
Manny de la Cruz was the walk-off hero for Maple. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Marauders right fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"This place sure got loud," said Davey Morris, the Maple manager.
