Bi Helps San Francisco Outscore South Carolina

Behind a solid performance from second baseman Ka-fei Bi, the San Francisco Earthquakes defeated the South Carolina Bombers, 11-10. Bi went 4 for 6 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for the Earthquakes. David Gilmour got the save, his 14th in 18 chances. The third-place Earthquakes improved to 77-82.

It could have been a different outcome for San Francisco, had it not been for Marshall Clark, the former first round draft pick . Clark contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the ninth inning to put San Francisco up, 11-10.

"We came out aggressive," said Earthquakes manager Evan Warner. "We came out swinging the bats."
