| McKenzie Now 2-1 After Subduing Pioneers | The Kansas City Tornadoes got a good effort from starter Magyver McKenzie in defeating the Vancouver Pioneers at "The Fort" at B.C. Place. The final score was 8-2. The Tornadoes have hit the ground running, raising their record to 12-3. While it's still too soon to talk about Kansas City hoisting their 4th ABL World Series trophy, fans are getting excited about their strong start.
McKenzie, the winner, is now 2-1 after putting the clamps on the Vancouver offense. In 7.1 innings of work, he gave up 2 earned runs on 2 hits, while collecting 9 Ks.
