South Carolina Bats Go Silent in 3-0 Loss

In a low-scoring tilt between the Vancouver Pioneers and the South Carolina Bombers, Dennis Gates was the difference-maker. The Vancouver right-hander earned player of the game honors in the 3-0 win. Gates, now 7-11, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 4, walking 0, and allowing no earned runs. The Pioneers now have a mark of 63-94.
