| Toreros Lose, 2-1, at Field of Dreams | The Cabo San Lucas Toreros got a sterling performance from pitcher Masazumi Ohayashi, but the Rockhounds still prevailed, 2-1. Ohayashi was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He threw 8 innings of 6-hit ball. Danny Zafra earned the win for Midland. He lasted 7.2 innings, allowing 1 earned run on 9 hits, while striking out 3. With the win, he raised his record to 2-1. The win brings the Rockhounds to 9-6, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.
