| Texans Topple Beavers with Late Rally | Waterfront Park was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Dallas Texans and the Portland Beavers.
The Texans had to overcome a good performance from Portland pitcher Elias Ortiz to claim a 6-5 win at Waterfront Park. Ortiz went 6.2 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Devon Labonte, credited with the win, is now 3-2. He allowed 2 runs on 2 hits in 2.2 innings.
It could have been a different outcome for Dallas, had it not been for Tsunayoshi Ito, the 31-year old right fielder . Ito contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the ninth inning to put Dallas up, 6-5.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Ito.
The Texans move to 71-81 with the win, while the Beavers drop to 95-57.
