| Titanic Mendoza Earns 200th Win | Juan Mendoza of the Belfast Titanic will go down as one of the league's legendary pitchers after his 6-2 win today against the Tonga G.o.D..
"It felt like it was a postseason game, one out at a time," said his manager. "It was something special to see."
The 41-year-old Mendoza picked up his 200th career victory at Isle of Destiny. He hurled 7.1 innings, gave up 8 hits and registered 2 strikeouts along with 2 walks.
"I've worked a long time for this," Mendoza said. "I can't believe it's really here. It feels great!"
Mendoza's won-lost record is 200 wins and 206 losses with a 4.61 ERA and opposing hitters have compiled a .301 average against him. |
