| Rockhounds Lose to Armada, 4-2 | The Quebec Armada took Midland pitcher Andy Mendoza's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Field of Dreams. The final score had Quebec getting past the Rockhounds, 4-2. Mendoza went 7.1 innings and allowed 3 earned runs, striking out 8. Sergio García got the win, improving to 9-11. He pitched 6.1 innings, giving up 6 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 8 and walking 6. Christian Wallace earned his 13th save in 19 chances.
Roger Washington, who won the Rookie of the Year Award in 2034, chipped in for Quebec with a 2-run home run in the top of the second. For the game, the catcher had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Washington said.
The Armada are now 58-94, while the Rockhounds fall to 80-72.
