Earthquakes Come Back Late to Clip Mustangs

Fans who gathered at McNichols Stadium saw a good contest between the San Francisco Earthquakes and Mile High Mustangs.

The San Francisco Earthquakes topped the Mile High Mustangs, 5-4, in Thurman Munson League action at McNichols Stadium. The player of the game was San Francisco pitcher and Mexico native Enrique Galván. San Francisco reliever Owen Lewis picked up the win, upping his record to 4-4. Gabe Inoa took the loss.

Had Ka-fei Bi not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Bi hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Earthquakes.

"I had pretty good command out there," said Galván.

The Earthquakes now have a mark of 70-75.
