| Lacenaire Delivers Walk-Off Win for Islanders | The Havana Stogies got a superb performance from pitcher Camilo Pascual, but the Hawaii Islanders still won the game, 3-2. Pascual was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 6 innings of 2-hit ball. The win brings the Islanders to 5-10, an awful start for a team that made the playoffs just last season.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 12th inning, when Hawaii third baseman John Lacenaire, facing Aaron Lyons, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Islanders the 3-2 win.
"This was one of those 'not to be denied' games," said Hawaii field general Leland Ray.
