| Chuang Slugs Rockhounds to 7-5 Win | The Midland Rockhounds defeated the Kansas City Tornadoes, 7-5, at Debris Field today. Leading the charge for Midland was third baseman Zhong-shu Chuang. He belted 2 home runs. Losses have been rare for the Tornadoes, who are now 11-3.
Had William Banks not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Banks hit a 3-run home run. That made the score 7-5, in favor of the Rockhounds.
In postgame comments to the Midland Bulletin, Banks said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
