| Rockhounds Stymie Seattle, Take 5-1 Win | Midland got a strong outing from Danny Zafra as the Rockhounds defeated the Seattle Sasquatch, 5-1, at Sick's Stadium. The Rockhounds bumped their record to 75-70 with this latest triumph.
The Rockhounds got a big at-bat from catcher Waylon Swerdlow. For the game, Swerdlow went 1 for 4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the top of the third, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 30th double of the season gave Midland a 2-1 lead.
Zafra told a Midland Bulletin reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
