| Beavers Trip Blazers in Extras | Portland got a strong outing from Yoshiaki Kojima as the Beavers defeated the Bloomington Blazers, 3-2, at Waterfront Park. Portland reliever Alberto Ramírez picked up the win to move to 4-1. Ducky Goosie suffered the loss. The Beavers bumped their record to 90-55 with this latest triumph.
The Beavers got a big at-bat from shortstop Cesar Sandino. For the game, Sandino went 2-6 with 2 singles. In the bottom of the 12th, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 114th hit of the season gave Portland a 3-2 lead.
Sandino told a Portland Times reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
