| Grays Fall Short at Dallas | The skies opened up and the rain fell at Metroplex Park.
The Dallas Texans bested the Georgia Grays by a score of 4-3, with left fielder Jerry Schnoor getting the main credit. On the day, Schnoor was 2-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Texans. Dallas reliever Ray Shumaker was the winner. His record is now 6-4. The losing pitcher was Joe Kearns.
Schnoor had a game-changing single in the bottom of the tenth. On a first pitch changeup from Joe Kearns, he banged a run-scoring single to center, giving the Texans a 4-3 lead. It was the 121st hit of the year for Schnoor.
"Enjoyed this one," Schnoor told the Dallas Herald. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
Dallas, at 68-75, sits in 4th place in the Roberto Clemente League Mike Brouillette Division.
