| Hops Solve Armada, 3-2 | Quebec got a terrific performance from pitcher Xavier Maya, but it wasn't enough to beat the San Diego Hops. San Diego won the Lucky 7 Ballpark contest, 3-2. Maya was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 9 innings of 7-hit ball. Jarrod Cousins earned the win for San Diego. He lasted 5.1 innings, allowing 2 earned runs on 4 hits, while striking out 3. With the win, he raised his record to 1-1. Jimmy Shumaker earned his 20th save in 31 chances.
The Hops got a big at-bat from left fielder Mario Yescas. For the game, Yescas went 3-4 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI. In the top of the fifth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 14th double of the season gave San Diego a 3-2 lead.
