| Rockhounds Solve Republic, 4-2 | Midland Rockhounds starter Andy Mendoza was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the So Cal Republic, 4-2. Amirtharaj Nagaraja converted his 26th save in 30 tries. Midland is now riding a 3-game win streak.
Waylon Swerdlow, who is tied for 2nd in the TML in extra base hits with 66, aided the Midland cause with a 2-run double in the bottom of the third. For the game, the catcher went 1 for 3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"We did enough to win," said Swerdlow.
