| Extra-Inning Win by Marauders over Rockhounds | Maple designated hitter Shunso Fukuda played a vital role in his team's 6-4 triumph over Midland. He was 3-5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for Maple. Minoru Aoki picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 9-7. Amirtharaj Nagaraja was tagged with the loss. Maple, now 67-72, holds third place in the Thurman Munson League Billy Martin Division.
Fukuda had a game-changing double in the top of the tenth. On a first pitch changeup from Bobby Wallace, he banged a 2-run double to left, giving the Marauders a 6-4 lead. It was the 21st double of the year for Fukuda.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Fukuda.
