| Black Knights Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Beavers | Brooklyn Black Knights starter Kyuji Aoki was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Portland Beavers, 3-1. John Swope picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 4-0. Lance Bundy was tagged with the loss. Ji-hwan Yea converted his 29th save in 33 tries.
The Black Knights got a big at-bat from center fielder Manny Marin. For the game, Marin went 1-3 with a double. In the bottom of the eighth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 13th double of the season gave Brooklyn a 2-1 lead.
"It feels good to get this one," Aoki told the Brooklyn Citizen.
Brooklyn now sits in 4th place in the Roberto Clemente League Christian Latulippe Division at 64-72.
