| Mustangs Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Marauders | Mile High Mustangs starter Scott Ray was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Maple Marauders, 2-1. Mile High reliever Gabe Inoa was the winner. His record is now 3-3. Ruben Luna took the loss. Obke van der Haar converted his 16th save in 16 tries.
A crucial at-bat came with runners on 2nd and 3rd and two out in the top of the third inning. That's when third baseman Shunso Sato, who is tied for 9th in the TML in extra base hits with 55, drew a walk. The Mustangs went on to win.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," Ray said.
Mile High now sits in 5th place in the Thurman Munson League Sparky Anderson Division at 61-75.
