Kansas City got an elite performance from starting pitcher Fidel Castro in taking a 5-1 decision over the Rubber City Rhinos. Nate Miller converted his 44th save in 46 tries. The first-place Tornadoes have won 15 straight.

Lazarus Obombo, who leads the TML in home runs with 41, aided the Kansas City cause with a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth. For the game, the first baseman was 1-4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Castro said.
