| Beavers Subdue Mile High, 6-5 | Portland withstood an impressive performance by Mile High second baseman Jesús García to defeat the Mustangs, 6-5, at Waterfront Park. García was 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Portland reliever Lakufa'ango Fanau was the winner. His record is now 4-1. Rich Virola took the loss. Quan Que converted his 29th save in 34 tries.
Portland took a 6-5 lead on Eric Kilpatrick's 4th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Mile High pitcher Rich Virola in the bottom of the seventh.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Kilpatrick said.
The win boosts the Beavers to 83-50. The loss puts the Mustangs at 59-74.
