| Extra-Inning Win by Mustangs over Beavers | The Mile High Mustangs topped the Portland Beavers, 5-4, in Thurman Munson League action at Waterfront Park. The player of the game was Mile High pitcher and Markham, Canada native Justin Adler. Mile High reliever Obke van der Haar was credited with the win, to go to 1-1. Quan Que took the loss for Portland. Mile High currently is in 5th place in the Thurman Munson League Sparky Anderson Division at 59-73.
The Mustangs got a big at-bat from first baseman Lance Adams. For the game, Adams went 2 for 5 with a double. In the top of the tenth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 24th double of the season gave Mile High a 5-4 lead.
"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Adler said.
