| Kansas City Makes It 14 Straight, Barely | Rubber City left fielder Pedro Martínez had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 6-5, to Kansas City at The Rubber Grounds. Martínez went 3-6 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The Tornadoes bumped their record to 91-42 with this latest triumph.
The Tornadoes got a big at-bat from catcher Antonio Santana. For the game, Santana went 1-5 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. In the top of the 13th, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 31st home run of the season gave Kansas City a 6-5 lead.
