| Loss to Bombers Extends San Diego Losing Streak | San Diego got a terrific performance from left fielder Mario Yescas, but it wasn't enough to beat the South Carolina Bombers. South Carolina won the The Brew Stade contest, 6-3. Yescas was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He was 4 for 4 with a home run and 3 singles. Ange Schmit earned the win for South Carolina. He lasted 7 innings, allowing 3 earned runs on 8 hits, while striking out 8. With the win, he raised his record to 15-7. San Diego's current losing streak is now 6 games.
The Bombers got a big at-bat from left fielder Greg Dimon. For the game, Dimon was 1 for 4. He drove in 2 runs. In the top of the fourth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run single. His 2nd hit of the season gave South Carolina a 3-1 lead.
