| Republic Win at Eureka, 7-3 | Starting pitcher Khurshid Durrani pitched well enough to help the So Cal Republic beat the Eureka Hornets by the score of 7-3. Durrani, the winner, moves to 11-9. He threw 7 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 1 walk. Pin-zhen Au saved it for So Cal.
The Republic got a big at-bat from third baseman Jong-min Kim Jr.. For the game, Kim Jr. was 1 for 5 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 34th home run of the season gave So Cal a 3-0 lead.
"We're in a marathon, not a sprint," Kim Jr. said in postgame remarks. "Soon enough, the finish line will be in sight."
The Republic bumped their record to 77-53 with this latest triumph.
