Texans Score Late to Upend Rockhounds, 5-4

Field of Dreams was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Dallas Texans and the Midland Rockhounds.

The Dallas Texans did just enough to secure a 5-4 victory over the Midland Rockhounds at Field of Dreams. Nobody did more than third baseman Kunihiro Shibata, who captured player of the game honors. Austin Hearn, credited with the win, is now 6-2. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. Ray Shumaker converted his 6th save in 7 tries.

Shibata had a big at-bat with a runner on 1st in the top of the eighth inning, when he hit a run-scoring double. The Texans went on to win.

"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Shibata.

The Texans move to 59-71 with the win, while the Rockhounds drop to 65-65.
